Celebrate Fitness 2014 Options

10K Run

Race managed by Missouri Running Company

Start your 2013 Race Season off with a bang by participating in the Celebrate Fitness 10K Run. The 10K route will start from the historic Washington University Francis Field and take you into Forest Park and back.

5K Run

Race managed by Missouri Running Company

The Celebrate Fitness 5K race course will take you into Forest Park and back. With an atmosphere of energy and motivation, Celebrate Fitness will be an event where all experience levels are welcome.

5K Walk

Not a runner?! Experience the same course as those that are participating in the 5K run. Walk through the beautiful Washington University campus and breath in the fresh spring air.

Boot Camp

Instructor(s): Keath Hausher of Shark Fitness

Required Equipment: Layers of Warm Clothing, Towel

90 minutes - This is NOT your Mother’s aerobics class! Military style workout that will kick you into GEAR! Experience how to use your body as a machine, for the ultimate fitness experience. Not for sissies! Boot Camp will be OUTSIDE regardless of the weather. Please dress accordingly!

Water-Deep

Required Equipment: Swimsuit, Towel

60 minutes - A “no impact”, surprisingly intense workout that offers a refreshing alternative to land aerobics! This class uses the natural resistance of water and focuses on the hips, thighs, arms and core muscles.

Water-Shallow

Required Equipment: Swimsuit, Towel

60 minutes - This workout is geared to those who feel more comfortable with their "feet on or near the bottom". Both low and high intensity moves are used for a great cardio workout. Participants should have a strong comfort level in chest high water using water noodles.

Yoga

90 minutes - BREATHE! Clear, simple and concise instructions will enhance a combination of postures, breathing and meditation with a goal of building strength and stamina while achieving balance and harmony.

Zumba

Required Equipment: Athletic Shoes

This 90 minute high-energy workout of Zumba and Hip Hop will surely keep you challenged from start to finish with its non-stop horsepower. Get ready to train hard, burn serious calories, and most importantly, have a blast while doing it.
